Cookie Policy
Cookie types
- Essential cookies/local storage: used for sessions, preferences, and remembering your cookie choice.
- Analytics cookies: Google Analytics and Microsoft Clarity are loaded only after you accept optional analytics.
- Cookieless analytics (no consent required): Plausible Analytics and Ahrefs Web Analytics run on every page. They set no cookies, collect no personal data, and do not track you across sites, so they do not require consent.
- Third-party authentication: Google Sign-In may set cookies when you use account features.
Current analytics setup
ToolPile uses a local consent gate for cookie-based analytics. Before acceptance, GA/Clarity scripts do not load. After acceptance, we use them to measure aggregate usage and improve pages. Cookieless analytics (Plausible and Ahrefs) run for all visitors because they store no cookies and no personal data.
How to change your choice
You can clear site data in your browser, or run localStorage.removeItem('toolpile_cookie_consent_v1') in developer tools, then reload the page to see the banner again.
